After conquering the rapids, refuel with a delicious riverside lunch, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and reflect on your epic day on the water. This run is approximately 22 miles of sheer white water happiness! On this full-day white water rafting trip, you will experience every section of our beloved Clear Creek. River rafting near Denver has never been more exciting than this!

  • PRICE: $185 per person
  • DIFFICULTY: Advanced (class IV-V rapids)
  • DEPARTURE TIME: Every day at 8:45AM
  • MEETING POINT:
    Downstream Adventures
    409 E Park Avenue,
    Empire, Colorado 80438
  • STARTING & ENDING POINTS:
    Put in at Clear Creek, Idaho Springs
    Take out downstream of Hwy 6 and 119 junction (depends on water levels)
  • AVAILABILITY: Late May until late-July
  • DURATION: 6-6.5 hours total (usually between 4.5 and 5 hours on the water, and 30 minutes for lunch)
  • REQUIREMENTS: Participants must be at least 16 years old. Participants must possess the ability to swim and be used to physical activity. You’ll need to partake in a lot of paddling since we’ll take on the rapids together!

Previous rafting experience is great to have, but not a requirement. Our ideal candidate is someone that is physically fit and is a strong swimmer. An athletic group that works together can be taught all they need to know by their guides before they launch.

Yes, being able to swim is a requirement on the Advanced trip.

On the Full-Day Advanced Clear Creek River Rafting trip, our rafts hold a maximum of 6 paddlers plus a guide.
