Follow Clear Creek's steady currents as they meander through Historic Idaho Springs, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey to the mouth of the Lower Canyon. Perfect for beginners, Middle Clear Creek offers an accessible option for white water rafting near Denver, promising a thrilling yet manageable experience for all.
Traveling from Boulder, head south on CO-93 towards Golden. Passing through Golden, continue onto US-6 East and follow signs to I-70 West. Once traveling west on I-70, take exit 232 and follow US-40 West to the town of Empire. We are in the second building on your right as you enter Empire. Map services such as Google Maps may recommend that you use the address: 409 Park Avenue, Idaho Springs, CO. This isn’t our official address, but it (somehow) takes you to the right spot.
The total trip time should be about 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions. It is important to arrive at our base 30 minutes prior to your scheduled trip time in order to sign waivers and get changed. I-70 can have heavy traffic, so it is best to check travel conditions when planning your drive.
